Dear Pearre Creek Families,

Welcome to the start of the 2023 - 2024 school year! I would like to extend a special greeting to those of you who are new to our school this year. We are glad to have you and your children join our community. I would also like to warmly thank the Pearre Creek teachers and staff, our principal, Mrs. Janet Alexandrow,  who worked diligently this summer to ensure everything is ready for our children when they return to the school.  

Mark your calendars for the Back-to-School Picnic on Tuesday, August 1st, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. I hope to meet many of you there where we can discuss how you can get involved in volunteering and what you'd like to see from the PTO this year!  We have popular events like the Panther Party and Rock the Creek Songwriter's Night planned for this and some new events too!  

As family members of Pearre Creek students – you are members of the PTO!  I encourage and welcome you to get involved, stay informed, and support your child’s school and education. The PTO is a key support system to our principal, teachers, and staff and positively impacts the educational experience for our children. The PTO board meets monthly throughout the school year and we will also hold general meetings that are open to all PTO members to attend. Our first general meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 12th. You can find other important dates on our the website.

The Pearre Creek PTO communicates with our families in the following ways:

The PTO website – The website, pearrecreekpto.membershiptoolkit.com, contains a full repository of information about the school and events as well as key links to the online school store, directory, donations, and contact information for individuals that will assist in getting answers to your questions.

The Panther Press e-newsletter – The newsletter is sent monthly via email and contains school updates and information to keep you up-to-date on the happenings at Pearre Creek. Make sure you have registered on the PTO website to ensure you receive the newsletters. 

The Paw Prints email –  This weekly update is sent by our principal, Mrs. Alexandrow. Please email Julie Albright at juliea2@wcs.edu if you aren't receiving the Paw Prints email. 

The Pearre Creek directory – Creating or updating your family account on the PTO website will help us connect you with other families. We do not print a directory. It is only available online through the PTO website and the FREE Membership Toolkit app. Within the app, you can text, call, email, and look up addresses of other Pearre Creek families. 

Instagram (pearrecreekelementary) and Facebook (Pearre Creek Elementary PTO) - social media platforms that have reminders, links, and other useful information shared regularly. 

Staying connected and engaged makes for a cohesive and strong community! We encourage you to read the Panther Press and use the PTO website, which is frequently updated, to stay informed on upcoming PTO and school events.

Your participation, whether through time, talent, or a donation, is vital to building a strong community and impacts the success of all the children at Pearre Creek.
